Pina Bettina Rücker plays singing bowls which are used in the electronics industry to work with Silicium. They play almost pure tones, but rounder and warmer as sinewaves. With them, she usually builds up a space: the source of the sound can’t really be pinpoint, the sound just fills the room and seems everywhere, with local beatings, resonances and harmonics.
Together, we looking at interactions between the saxophone through the room. Or rather through the rooms as we are focusing on both the outside and inside space of the saxophone.
This is work in progress, and I’m really excited about where it can go!
